課程概述 |
由於探索技術的限制，我們對於海洋環境的認識相當有限。以致於西方海洋研究學者才會指出「我們對於外太空的了解多過於對深海的認識」。近年來由於深海探測技術的進展，海洋已經成為資本發展的新前沿地帶(frontiers)，綠色能源如離岸風電、深海採礦以及海底電纜的鋪設等，都是新興的海洋經濟型態。然而這些新興「藍色經濟」卻也造成許多環境衝突。離岸風場經常和傳統漁場漁場重疊；深海採礦(如金屬錳核礦開採以及海底抽砂等)和海底電纜則是對於深海自然生態、海岸地質造成重大衝擊。針對這些「藍色經濟」的環境政治，有需要新概念和理論來理解，因此本課程主要分為二大部份，第一部份主要聚焦在地球政治(Geo-politics)上，並討論海洋系統本體論、科學與海洋以及海洋與全球貨漁船移動；第二部份則主要聚焦在藍色經濟的環境政治，從多物種民族誌以及非人地理學more-than-human geographies的角度切入，探討海洋生物在海洋環境治理(ocean governance)中的角色。 |

課程要求 |
本課程為碩博士班課程，當週都有必讀文獻。每位修課同學都將被分配報告週次。其餘修課同學，請務必於上課前一天將自己一頁的心得摘要，傳給每位修課同學。這些要求會被嚴格執行。 |
